Why Choose Coppercoat?

– Long-Term Protection: Coppercoat offers up to 15 years of protection with minimal maintenance, allowing you to enjoy your boat worry-free for years without concerns about heavy fouling.

– Proven Quality: Boat owners worldwide have had excellent results with Coppercoat. The product has repeatedly proven to be a reliable and effective anti-fouling solution.

– Environmentally Friendly: Unlike traditional anti-fouling products, Coppercoat does not contain harmful chemicals that can impact the marine environment.

Application Process

Applying Coppercoat is a thorough process that begins with the complete removal of the old paint system down to the gelcoat. This step is crucial to ensure Coppercoat adheres properly and delivers its maximum protective qualities.

Optional Anti-Osmosis Layer

For added protection, an anti-osmosis layer can be applied before the Coppercoat system. This helps prevent osmosis damage to your boat’s hull, further enhancing its longevity and performance.

Application Methods

– Roller: The traditional method involves applying Coppercoat with a roller. This labor-intensive process ensures an even coat of the product.

-Spray: A faster method that applies a uniform and thin layer of Coppercoat. This technique requires extra care to avoid overspray.

Applying Coppercoat is a demanding day-long task that requires 3 to 4 people, depending on the boat’s length. Continuous work is essential for proper application. After application, the product must remain dry for the first 48 hours.

Activating Coppercoat

Once applied, Coppercoat needs to be activated. This can be done by hand (using P150 sandpaper) or with a sander (using P350). Activating the copper layer ensures the product works optimally and provides long-lasting protection. Every 3-4 years, the copper layer needs reactivation. After high-pressure washing and drying the boat, use sandpaper (P150 by hand, P350 with a sander) for reactivation.

Drone Cleaning Service

While Coppercoat offers excellent protection, boats left stationary for extended periods may still experience algal growth. This algal growth is usually light and less severe compared to barnacles. We offer an advanced drone cleaning service that efficiently removes algae and other debris from your boat’s hull. This modern technology ensures thorough and safe cleaning without needing to remove your boat from the water.
